Like everyone says this place is a bit of a tourist trap. It's in the perfect location for a great view and their menu looks pretty good but once you get the check wowzas they nickel and dime you for everything! And the food is only just decent.
Normally we check reviews for everything but our one night in Venice we figured we would check out the menus of the places located on the water and choose our favorite. Ugh. Mistake. The only good thing they have going is the view. Oh and they have some heaters so if it's cold you can stay warm.
The staff seemed somewhat friendly and brought us our water and a small bread basket. So unimpressed with the bread. Nothing special and overly tough. The little breadsticks were even worse. I ordered the ravioli and my husband had the spaghetti bolognese. They surprisingly came out very quickly. I enjoyed my dish but was not impressed with it- I just felt like I could have made it at home and been just as happy. My husband wasn't overly impressed with his dish either. The noodles were more like angel hair and neither of us are fans of angel hair.
When we got the check we couldn't believe all of the little charges that were added on such as a table charge. If I had known that from the start we would have gone elsewhere. It's very upsetting that they are not straight forward about this.
Luckily the staff wasn't rude but they weren't overly friendly either. My opinion, keep walking and find a better place. It's not worth the money for the view. -

Location location location, if you got to dine in view of Rialto this place can't be beat, don't expect good food or service, they all know why you sat down, just pick it for the views and ambience, better eats and service can be found almost anywhere else, LOL. ate here 26 years ago so had to repeat just for the nostalgia, same below average food and indifferent service as before, but the ambience was nice! Gets three stars average for 5 star ambience and two star service and food

Ristoranté Saraceno reminds me of the restaurants along Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco -- seafood displayed behind glass for passersby to gawk at & no local patrons enjoying the amazing views from a prime sidewalk table. It's got that touristy charm of being romantic -- you're steps from the Rialto bridge & even closer to the Grand Canal.
Our dinner went smoothly, as we didn't experience any of the service issues other Yelpers wrote about (although the table next to us complained about being overcharged.)
Their only crime (& some would argue is a crime worse than overcharging) is that the meat sauce in their spaghetti is sweet like someone tipped a jar of sugar into the batch. The rest of dinner was good, starting with the addictively crisp breadsticks. The caprese starter had vibrant well-seasoned tomatoes & buttery soft mozzarella.
Can't beat the location, but if you like savory spaghetti sauce, don't go here. -

Tourists BEWARE! The danger of this restaurant is that, as a tourist, you must be vigilant. It's not the nickel & dining or the charges for ice and bread and other things, it's that: you can order a bottle of wine by pointing at a bottle on the menu & the waiter can still try to sneak in a bottle that is $43 euro more. This is the most blatant exploitation of tourists. We had to fight and be very vocal and loud to get it corrected. And STILL THE manager insisted that we should have NOTICED that the waiter brought a different bottle. Avoid!
